The ICU Timetable System is a database-driven system designed to improve the planning, management, and organization of academic timetables at the institution. It addresses challenges associated with manual timetable preparation, including timetable conflicts, double booking of classrooms, lecturer scheduling conflicts, and difficulties in accessing and updating timetable information. The system provides a centralized platform for managing information about students, lecturers, courses, programmes, classrooms, days, time slots, and timetable schedules.
The system will be developed using PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with MySQL as the database management system and XAMPP as the local server. It will support creating, viewing, updating, and deleting timetable records. Administrators will manage academic schedules, while students and lecturers will access relevant timetable information. The system will minimize scheduling conflicts and improve efficiency, accuracy, accessibility, and reliability while reducing the time and effort required for manual timetable preparation.
