Project Abstract

The following
Project Idea: "The Pulse" is a simple, mobile-first fitness web application designed to help everyday users easily track their workouts, daily steps, and fitness goals without complex menus.
?Objective: To build a secure database and backend API system to store user accounts, save daily workouts, and calculate progress metrics like active streaks and total calories burned.
?Methodology: The project follows a simple development process. First, a database structure is created with three main tables: Users, Workouts, and Daily_Progress. Second, a backend API is developed using Python or Node.js to receive and process data. Third, foreign keys and password encryption are added to keep the data safe and well organized. Finally, the JavaScript frontend is connected to the backend using fetch calls and tested.
?Expected Outcome: A complete full-stack fitness application where users can create accounts, log in, submit daily workout records, and view live progress on a dashboard.
