Abstract

The School Marketplace Portal is a web-based platform designed to provide students and staff with a convenient and organized environment for buying and selling goods and services within a school community. The system addresses the challenges associated with using informal communication platforms, such as social media groups and word of mouth, where it can be difficult to find products, identify sellers, and manage listings efficiently. The platform allows registered users to create accounts, post products for sale, browse available items, search and filter listings, view product details, and communicate with sellers. An administrative section allows authorized administrators to manage users, monitor listings, and remove inappropriate content. The system will utilize web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and a suitable backend and database for storing and managing user and marketplace information. The proposed system aims to improve accessibility, organization, and convenience in school-based trading while providing a foundation that can be expanded with features such as ratings, notifications, delivery tracking, and online payments.
