Project Abstract
Title: Development of a Digital Campus Queue Management System
Long queues are a common challenge in institutions where students must wait for services such as registration, fee payments, academic records, or student support. This project proposes the development of a Digital Campus Queue Management System designed to reduce unnecessary physical waiting and improve the efficiency of service delivery. The system will allow students to join a virtual queue using a web-based platform and receive a queue number without having to remain in a crowded waiting area.
The system will display the current queue status and provide users with information about their position and estimated waiting progress. Authorized staff will be able to manage queues, call the next student, prioritize specific services, and monitor the number of users waiting. An administrative section will also allow authorized personnel to manage users, services, and basic system records.
The project will make use of web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, together with a database for storing and retrieving queue information. The expected outcome is a simple and accessible system that minimizes congestion, saves students time, improves service organization, and provides institutions with a more efficient approach to managing high-demand services.
