Project Abstract

INTRODUCTION:
Poultry production requires proper monitoring of bird numbers, mortality, growth, sales and financial performance to support effective decision-making. Small-scale poultry farmers may rely on manual records such as notebooks and spreadsheets, making it difficult to organize production information and obtain a consolidated view of batch performance.

PROBLEM:
Manual poultry record-keeping can result in difficulties when tracking batch information, calculating key production indicators and monitoring financial performance. There is therefore a need for a simple system that can organize poultry batch records and provide automated calculations and summaries.

METHODS:
The project will involve the design and development of a Web-Based Poultry Batch Monitoring System using HTML for structure, CSS for interface and design and JavaScript for calculations and interactivity. The system will provide functionality for creating and managing poultry batches, recording mortality, monitoring bird weight, recording sales and payment status, calculating financial performance, and generating basic reports.

RESULTS:
The proposed system is expected to provide an organized and user-friendly platform for monitoring poultry batches. It will automatically calculate available birds, mortality rate, average, minimum and maximum weight, sales revenue, and profit or loss, while providing basic reports and filtering functions for reviewing batch performance.

CONCLUSION:
The proposed Web-Based Poultry Batch Monitoring System will provide a practical approach to organizing and monitoring poultry production records. The project will also demonstrate how HTML, CSS and JavaScript can be used to develop an interactive web-based solution for a real-world poultry management problem.
