ZedDrive Rental System

This project presents the design and development of "ZedDrive," an online car rental web application tailored for users within Lusaka to streamline the vehicle hiring process. The primary objectives are to develop a responsive landing page for public browsing, a secure user dashboard for real-time car booking, notification management, simulated mobile money payments, and account administration, alongside an administrative panel for managing registered users, tracking approved bookings, monitoring financial transactions, and overseeing fleet inventory. Methodologically, the system is engineered using a full-stack web architecture leveraging HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for the client-side interface, PHP for backend request handling and session management, and a relational SQL database for persistent data storage. The expected outcome is a fully functional, secure, and user-friendly web platform that eliminates traditional rental bottlenecks in Lusaka, offering an efficient digital solution for both customers seeking seamless vehicle reservations and administrators managing fleet operations.
