Project Abstract
ABSTRACT
A Health Management System (HMS) is a computerized system designed to improve the management and delivery of healthcare services by organizing patient, medical, administrative, and financial information in one secure platform. The system provides healthcare institutions with an efficient way of recording, storing, retrieving, and managing information while reducing the challenges associated with manual paperwork.
The proposed Health Management System will support major activities such as patient registration, appointment scheduling, medical record management, prescription tracking, billing, and report generation. Healthcare workers will be able to access relevant patient information quickly, helping them make informed decisions and provide better services. Patients can also benefit from improved appointment management, accurate records, and faster service delivery.
The system will include different user roles, such as administrators, doctors, nurses, receptionists, and other authorized staff. Each user will have controlled access based on their responsibilities, helping protect confidential medical information. Security measures such as authentication, authorization, data validation, and regular backups will be considered to reduce the risk of unauthorized access or data loss.
The main objective of the Health Management System is to increase efficiency, accuracy, accessibility, and accountability within healthcare facilities. By reducing dependence on paper-based processes, the system can minimize errors, save time, improve communication among healthcare workers, and support effective decision-making. Overall, the proposed system provides a practical technological solution for managing healthcare information and improving the quality of healthcare service delivery.
