Project Abstract

CyberRecon is a web-based cybersecurity incident management and reconnaissance system designed to improve security monitoring, incident response, and operational continuity within Security Operations Centers (SOCs). With the increasing risks of phishing, malware, unauthorized access, and other cyber threats, organizations require effective tools for identifying, recording, analyzing, and responding to security incidents. This will provide a centralized platform for secure role-based access, incident logging, classification, prioritization, tracking, analyst assignment, and reporting. The frontend will be developed using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, while the backend will use JavaScript with Node.js and Express.js to develop RESTful API endpoints for managing users, incidents, reconnaissance data, shifts, and reports. MySQL will be used as the database, with SQL for storing, retrieving, updating, and managing system information. The system aims to improve collaboration, reduce information loss during shift handovers, and strengthen overall cybersecurity monitoring and response.
