Project Abstract
In Zambia, many TEVETA graduates struggle to secure internships and employment due to a manual and fragmented placement process. Students often depend on emails, physical visits and separate application forms, which can be time-consuming and cause them to miss opportunities. SkillBridge Zambia is a web-based platform designed to connect students, employers and TEVETA institutions in one system. Students can create profiles, search and apply for opportunities and track applications. Employers can post vacancies, review applications and shortlist candidates, while TEVETA institutions can monitor placements and identify industry skill demands. The current prototype uses HTML, CSS and JavaScript with temporary in-memory data. Future development will integrate MySQL and secure role-based authentication. The system uses an agile approach to improve the transition from technical education to employment.
