Project Abstract

ZedVendors Hub is a web-based digital marketplace designed to empower Zambian Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). Most micro-businesses in Zambia lack online visibility and rely on physical customers and WhatsApp, limiting their growth. Existing e-commerce platforms are expensive and complex.

The aim of this project is to develop a free, mobile-first platform where vendors can create online stores, list products and offer services with booking. Customers can search, browse, vendors and book services in one place.

The system will be built using HTML5 for structure, CSS with Flexbox and Grid for responsive design and Vanilla JavaScript for interactivity. Features include vendor registration and login, vendor dashboard with analytics, customer search and business tools like platform fee calculator and delivery estimator.

ZedVendor Hub promotes the "Buy Zambian" initiative by making local businesses discoverable and affordable to digitize.
