Project Proposal Abstract
Hospital Medical Equipment Inventory Website
Hospitals rely on a wide range of medical equipment, such as wheelchairs, oxygen cylinders, infusion pumps, and monitoring devices, and keeping accurate track of this equipment is often a challenge when records are kept manually or on paper. Staff can waste valuable time searching for equipment that has been misplaced, is already in use elsewhere, or is currently under maintenance, and this can slow down patient care in situations where speed matters most. For this project, I intend to design and build a simple, interactive website that will allow hospital staff to manage their medical equipment inventory more efficiently.
The website will be built using only three basic web development technologies: HTML for the structure of the page, CSS for styling and layout, and JavaScript for interactivity. The page will contain a form where staff can add a new item of equipment by entering its name, its location in the hospital, and its current status, which will be set to Available, In Use, or Maintenance. Once added, each item will appear as a row in an inventory table, and its status will be shown in a different colour so that it can be recognised at a glance. The site will also include a search bar, which will let a user filter the table instantly by typing part of an equipment name, and a delete button on each row, so that outdated or discarded items can be removed from the list.
Once completed, this website could genuinely benefit a hospital by giving staff a fast, visual way to check what equipment is available before searching a ward by hand, by reducing the time spent looking for items that are actually in use or being serviced elsewhere, and by keeping an always up-to-date record that any authorised staff member could view or update from a computer. It is intended as a working proof of concept that demonstrates how even a small, beginner-level coding project can address a real and practical problem within a healthcare setting, and it could later be expanded with permanent data storage and multiple user access if developed further.

Good static website project idea.
