Project Abstract
QUIZ MASTER (DATA AND LOGIC)
This project, titled "Quiz Master," is a web-based quiz application developed using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. It allows users to test their knowledge across multiple categories through interactive, multiple-choice questions. The system is built around two core components: data, which stores the questions, answer choices, and scoring information; and logic, which governs how the application responds to user actions, evaluates answers, and calculates scores. This project demonstrates the practical use of web development and basic programing concerpts learned, including data organization, conditional logic, and event driven programing.
The purpose of this project is to design and develop a simple, interactive web-based quiz application that allows users test and improve their knowledge through multiple-choice questions. The system will allow users to select a category, answer questions, receive immediate feedback, and view their final score.
Beyond its practical use, this project is significant as an academic exercise. It demonstrates how HTML, CSS, and JavaScript can be combined to create a functional application. It also demonstrates the use of data and programming logic to process user answers, calculate scores, and provide results. To design a simple and user-friendly quiz nterface using HTML and CSS.
To develop quiz functionality using JavaScript, including displaying questions, selecting answers, and tracking scores and to organize quiz questions, options, and correct answers using structured data. To provide users with immediate feedback and display their final quiz results, and also develop a responsive application that can be used on both desktop and mobile devices.
The project focuses on developing a web-based quiz application using HTML, CSS and JavaScript. HTML will be used to create the structure of the application, CSS will be used for the design and appearance, while JavaScript will be used to control the quiz functionality and logic.
The application will contain three main stages: a start screen, a quiz screen, and a result screen. Users will first select a quiz category, answer multiple-choice questions, and then view their final score.
The quiz questions, answer options, and correct answers will be stored as structured data. JavaScript logic will compare the users answer with the correct answer, update the score, and control what happens when the user interacts with the application. The project will be developed and tested to ensure that the application works correctly, is easy to navigate, and responds properly to user input.
The main logic of Quizmaster is to display a question, receive the users answer, compare the answer with the stored correct answer, and update the score. After all questions have been answered, the system calculates and displays the final results.
The expected outcome is a fully functional, web-based quiz application that allows users to select a category, answer multiple-choice questions, receive instant feedback on each answer, and view their final score. The application should be easy to use, easy to navigate, responsive on different devices, and free from major errors. The completed project will demonstrate the practical use of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, data organization, and programing logic.
Quiz Master demonstrates how HTML, CSS, and JavaScript can be combined to create a functional and interactive web-based quiz application. The project applies basic programming concepts such as structured data, conditional logic, functions, and event handling to process user answers and calculate scores.
The application provides users with an easy way to answer questions, receive immediate feedback, and view their final results. The project also provides a practical demonstration of the data and logic concepts learned. In the future, the system can be improved by adding more categories, a timer, user accounts, and the ability to save high scores.
