Project Abstract
embedded electronics continues to grow rapidly, students, hobbyists, and local engineers often face significant challenges in discovering and purchasing electronic components. Finding specific partssuch as microcontrollers (Arduino, ESP32, Raspberry Pi), sensors, integrated circuits, relays, and power modulestypically involves visiting scattered physical electronics stores with limited visibility into product availability, technical specifications, or pricing.
To address this challenge, this project presents ElectroHub, a responsive and interactive e-commerce and showcase web application specifically developed for the Interactive Web Development course. Engineered using clean semantic HTML5, modern CSS3 (Flexbox and CSS Grid), and object-oriented ES6+ JavaScript, the platform demonstrates rich client-side interactivity, event-driven programming, and dynamic Document Object Model (DOM) manipulation without requiring heavy server frameworks at this stage. Key capabilities implemented in this phase include:
Product Catalog & Advertising
Dynamic display of components with high-resolution images, technical pinout specifications, stock indicators, and promotional advertisement banners for featured deals.
Live Search & Categorization
Instant keyword search, price range filtering, and multi-category sorting (Microcontrollers, Sensors, ICs, Passive Components, Power Supplies) with immediate DOM updates.
Shopping Cart & Order Simulation
Interactive cart drawer allowing item additions, quantity adjustments, live subtotal/tax calculations, and state persistence using Web Storage (localStorage).
Inquiry & Seller Contact
Interactive quote request and technical inquiry forms with real-time client-side field validation and feedback toasts.
Overall, the project fulfills the practical objectives of interactive front-end software engineering by combining intuitive user experience design, asynchronous event handling, and commercial presentation standards into a cohesive, production-ready web platform.
