Project Abstract
## ABSTRACT
Loan management and payment collection can become difficult when records are maintained manually using notebooks, paper receipts, or simple spreadsheets. These methods may result in lost records, inaccurate payment balances, missed repayment dates, difficulty tracking collectors, and challenges in determining the outstanding amounts owed by borrowers. This project proposes the design and development of a **Loan Payment Tracking and Collection Management Mobile Application** using **Flutter**.
The proposed mobile application will provide a centralized platform for recording and monitoring loan repayment activities. The system will allow authorized users to register and store lender or borrower details, record the total loan amount, amount expected to be repaid, amount collected, outstanding balance, repayment dates, and loan due dates. Each payment made will be recorded in the system, allowing the application to automatically update the remaining loan balance and maintain a complete payment history.
The application will also provide a receipt-generation feature for every payment collected. The receipt will contain important information such as the borrower's details, amount paid, payment date, remaining balance, receipt number, and the details of the collector who received the payment. Collector profiles will also be maintained to improve accountability and make it possible to identify the person responsible for each transaction.
Additional features of the system will include loan status tracking, payment history, overdue loan identification, due-date reminders, search functionality, and summary reports showing amounts expected, amounts collected, and outstanding balances. A dashboard will provide users with an overview of active loans, completed loans, overdue payments, and total collections.
The mobile application will be developed using **Flutter and Dart** to provide a modern, user-friendly, and cross-platform interface capable of running on Android and other supported mobile platforms. A suitable database will be used to securely store borrower, lender, collector, loan, payment, and receipt information.
The proposed system is expected to improve the accuracy, efficiency, transparency, and accessibility of loan payment records. It will reduce dependence on manual record keeping, simplify payment monitoring, improve accountability among collectors, and enable lenders to make better decisions using accurate and up-to-date loan information.
