Project Abstract

TOWEROPS: TELECOM TOWER MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
Live Telemetry Monitoring & Maintenance Scheduling Web Application
ABSTRACT
Mobile networks depend on hundreds of cell towers across the country to keep voice calls, mobile money, and internet connections running smoothly. When a tower goes down because of a power failure, battery drain, or hardware fault, entire neighborhoods and businesses lose communication. In shared network setups where multiple mobile operatorsincluding Airtel, MTN, and Liquid Telecomco-locate on common tower infrastructure, tracking uptime and sending maintenance crews quickly is often difficult and slow.
TowerOps is a web-based management dashboard developed to solve this operational bottleneck. It provides network teams and field managers with a single, easy-to-use system to observe live tower health and manage maintenance schedules. Built with standard client-side technologies (HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript), the platform delivers three core capabilities:
Live Map & Telemetry Displays tower locations across provinces on an interactive Leaflet map with animated status badges (Online, Degraded, Offline), tracking power sources (Grid, Generator, Solar) and live uptime metrics.
Search & Multi-Filtering Enables instant search and multi-criteria filtering by telecom provider (Airtel, MTN, Liquid Telecom), region, power supply type, and operational health status to pinpoint faulty sites in seconds.
Maintenance Calendar & Work Orders Provides a Full Calendar interface to manage routine preventive inspections, log emergency repair work orders, track job completion, and dispatch field technicians with estimated hours.
In summary, TowerOps demonstrates how practical web technologies can streamline telecommunications management without complex backend setups. By unifying live site telemetry, instant multi-criteria filtering, and maintenance dispatch into a clean visual interface, the system empowers operations teams to resolve faults faster, protect network uptime, and maintain reliable service for thousands of mobile subscribers.
