Project Abstract
MK Engineering is a small firm that sells electrical products and provides engineering services, currently relying on manual records that make stock tracking and order processing slow and error-prone.
This project develops a web-based management system using MySQL and PHP, with a database normalised to 3NF across eight related tables. Administrators manage products, services, and staff accounts; staff register clients and process orders combining products and services, with stock updated automatically; clients browse offerings and submit inquiries, which staff convert into orders.
Security is enforced through prepared statements, password hashing, and role-based access control. Reports cover revenue, top-selling items, and low-stock alerts.
