Project Abstract

This project presents a Cyber Firewall simulation developed to demonstrate cyber security concepts through a network-defense environment. The system integrates HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to provide a terminal style interface, security dashboard, IP scanning, threat classification and event logging, and a defensive mini-game. It's architecture demonstrates threat detection, network monitoring, incident response, attack blocking, and status reporting. JavaScript uses DOM manipulation, event driven functions, timers, progress indicators, to stimulate cyber incidents. The scoring and level-progression mechanism rewards mitigation while increasing attack speed to model escalating risk. The project was created as an educational tool to demonstrate firewall controls and network security. It highlights cybersecurity's societal role in protecting digital services and data by reinforcing confidentiality, integrity, availability, continuous monitoring, rapid response, and proactive threat mitigation.
