ZEDMUSIC DATABASE MANAGEMENT ABSTRACT

Abstract

This Database Management Project focuses on the design of a relational database for the ZedMusic Platform, developed to manage users, artists, songs, genres, favourites, news posts, and music approvals. The database uses an Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD) consisting of seven main entities: USER, ARTIST, SONG, GENRE, FAVOURITE, NEWS_POST, and MUSIC_APPROVAL. Primary keys uniquely identify records, while foreign keys establish relationships between entities. For example, song_id identifies each song, while artist_id links a song to its artist. These relationships help maintain data integrity and provide a structured foundation for implementing the major functions of the ZedMusic Platform.
